Liverpool head coach has offered an update on the on the cusp of half-time during his side's 2-1 win over Brighton that saw the Reds move to the top of the table.
Konate went down after challenging for a corner kick near the end of a frustrating first half for Liverpool. The medical team helped him off the field at the interval with his shirt seemingly being used as a makeshift sling.
"He was in a lot of pain at half-time," Slot said during his post-match press conference. "Disappointed he had to go off. The good thing is I have two very good options in Quansah and Gomez.
"Quansah was tired at the end of Brighton, so I felt I had to bring in someone fitter than Jarell was. Konate? I don't know yet; [he's] not been to hospital yet. He may not even have to go; it's always too early to say just after the game."
Liverpool turned the match around in the second half. came on for Konate and excelled, while fellow substitutes and also made a decisive impact in the final third.
