Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana: Women in this state will be in for a treat before Diwali, with free cylinders; will you also benefit?

Diwali is just a few days away. Women in one state may receive a significant gift from the government. According to media reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a significant gift for women.

This free cylinder gift will be provided to women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PM-Ujjwala Yojana). Approximately 18.6 million women in the state will benefit from this.

When will the free cylinders be available?

According to media reports, the Uttar Pradesh government will provide free cylinders to women twice a year. These free cylinders will be available to women who are already beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PM-Ujjwala Yojana). The free cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PM-Ujjwala Yojana) will be distributed in two phases.

The first phase will be from October to December 2025, and the second phase will be from January 2026 to March 2026. Women will receive free cylinders in both phases. Beneficiaries will receive a deposit or subsidy for a 14.2 kg cylinder.

Who will not benefit?
Only women who are beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will be eligible for this benefit.
If a beneficiary has not verified their Aadhaar card, they will also not be eligible for the free cylinder.
