Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 20 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh laid the foundation stone of the link road from Tara Devi Bypass to Matholi, Gram Panchayat Keonthal, of Shimla on Sunday.
According to a government release, the minister stated that fulfilment of the long-pending demands of the local villagers would benefit residents of Gram Panchayat Keonthal and other surrounding villages. He directed the concerned department to complete the tender process for the construction of the 1.5-kilometer-long link road within 20 days.
Later, Vikramaditya Singh presided over 'Mantri Aapke Dwar Karyakram' at Village Matholi and heard public grievances. He assured the public that their grievances would soon be addressed and genuine demands would be met, the release mentioned.
Ex-MLA's Chiranjiv Lal Kashyap and Sohan Lal were present at the occasion.
Earlier today, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the state government is organising the 32nd Himachal Pradesh Children's Science Congress (HPCSC)-2024 and is committed to promoting science among youth.
He said that the Children's Science Congress reflects the government's strong commitment to the popularisation and promotion of science among the youth. The theme for this year's Children's Science Congress is 'Traditional Knowledge Systems and Modern Science. (ANI)
