The highly anticipated ceremony will reportedly take place at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a significant location for Chaitanya's family and the Telugu film industry. The couple’s engagement took place on August 8, 2024, in an intimate gathering attended by family and close friends. Annapurna Studios was set up by Akkineni Nageswara Rao and is located on a 22-acre site in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. There has been no official announcement from the Akkineni family yet but many media reports, citing family insiders, have been providing updates about the wedding.

The Pasupu Danchadam, or "crushing of turmeric," involves the bride and groom grinding turmeric, wheat, and other grains on a stone, symbolizing their commitment to a harmonious life together. The turmeric from this ceremony will be used later during the wedding festivities, adding a meaningful touch to the upcoming haldi ritual.

Sobhita embraced the occasion by dressing in an elegant Kanjivaram saree with gold jewelry and jasmine flowers woven into her hair.
