It’s always nice to find fresh flowers on a centre table, but weekly visits to the florist can be tedious. Luckily, flower studios in the NCR are now offering subscription plans so your favourite blooms arrive right at your doorstep.
The flower subscription model is gaining popularity in Delhi NCR, say floral de signers. Meeta Gutgutia, co-founder of FNP, a flower delivery service, says, “People are now looking for convenient and personalised experiences in every space of their lives and this shows in the floral industry too. Customers love transforming their spaces with fresh flowers without the hassle of making frequent trips to the florist.”
‘The flower subscription trend is picking up'
Mohicka Gupta Bose, a business consultant and a home decor content creator, who has been availing flower subscription services for over three years, says, “While most flower subscription services in NCR are on a slightly higher side, the flowers last very long.”
“The subscription model is popular among young professionals and families who value the floral aesthetic. Another key factor behind this increase can be the growing awareness of psychological benefits of flowers, such as reducing stress and improving overall well-being,” adds Meeta Gutgutia. “Home decor content on social media has popularised the trend of buying flowers for home. Monthly subscriptions feature arrangements with long-lasting flowers like birds of paradise, hydrangeas, orchids, daisies or lilies, tailored to customer preferences. Customers, if they choose, are treated to surprise arrangements in weekly subscriptions too. People are now taking to the concept of subscribing to flowers. Whether for personal use, as a thoughtful gift or to elevate spaces, floral subscriptions are becoming popular,” says Sumati Bansal, founder of The Floral Pursuit.
‘Subscriptions surge during the festive season’
“People tend to customise the first few deliveries as they discover which flowers work for their space,” says Meeta Gutgutia, mentioning that weekly subscriptions are availed the most in NCR during the festive season. “Floral subscriptions are more successful in Gurgaon, compared to Delhi and Noida. Subscriptions surge during the festive months. Also, around Dussehra and other auspicious days when people move into new homes,” says Ankit Kumar, founder of Farmerr, a flower delivery company.
"Weekly delivery ensures that most flowers are replaced with fresh ones before they wilt away. Bi-monthly deliveries are a good balance between cost and frequency and so it appeals to many customers. Monthly deliveries are ideal for those who want occasional fresh flowers," adds Shalini Dugar, founder of &Blooms, a flower studio in Delhi and Gurgaon
