Ayurveda considers milk or kheer (rice pudding) placed in the moonlight on this night to be nectar, calming the body's bile dosha and balancing blood pressure and sleep.

Furthermore, the Panchak period and Bhadra will also be in effect throughout the day. Bhadra will begin at 12:33 pm and last until 10:53 pm. Therefore, you can store kheer in the moonlight after 10:53 pm tonight. However, Bhadra does not affect storing kheer. Therefore, you can store kheer under the open sky at any time after moonrise. Kheer should be stored in such a way that it receives the moon's rays.
When to eat Sharad Purnima kheer?
When to store kheer on Sharad Purnima, cover it with a white cotton cloth so that when the nectar rains, it will permeate the kheer. If you can store it in a place where insects cannot reach it, you can store it outdoors; otherwise, keep it covered. Eating Sharad Purnima kheer after sunrise the next day reduces its effectiveness. Therefore, Sharad Purnima kheer should always be consumed before sunrise. Sharad Purnima kheer can be consumed the next day from 4:00 a.m. until 24 minutes before sunrise. This means that you can consume it after bathing and meditating between 4:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Method for storing Sharad Purnima kheer
This evening, prepare kheer from cow's milk and add a little saffron to it. Ensure that this kheer is made only from rice. After preparing the kheer, store it in a pot. Leave the pot in the open on the terrace or balcony overnight. Some people leave the kheer in the moonlight overnight and eat it the next morning. Others leave the kheer for 2 to 4 hours and then consume it.
