This rule becomes even more important on a sacred and emotional festival like Raksha Bandhan. On this day, sisters tie Rakhi on the wrists of their brothers and wish for their happiness, prosperity, and long life. But this work should not be done at any time without thinking, especially not during Bhadra Kaal.

Bhadra Kaal is a special period, which is decided according to the Panchang. According to mythological beliefs, Bhadra was the sister of Shanidev, and her nature is considered fierce and inauspicious. It is also said that doing any auspicious work during Bhadra Kaal does not give the desired result, but many times it can also have opposite results. Now prepare a puja thali in which to keep roli (tilak, sandalwood or kumkum), akshat (rice), rakhi, sweets, and a lamp. After this, make your brother sit on a chowki or aasan facing north or east. You also sit facing the same direction.

Before tying the rakhi, place a handkerchief or cloth on the brother's head. Then apply a tilak of roli, sandalwood, and akshat on his forehead.
