Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): A family was attacked by relatives over a property dispute in Neemuch's Panch Kholi area on Friday night, leaving four members critically injured and unconscious in their home. The incident came to light on Saturday morning.
The victims were discovered soaked in blood after they were assaulted by one of the relatives. They were rushed to the district hospital, where they received first aid before being referred for further treatment due to their serious conditions.
In the incident, Dhanraj Harijan,23, Geetabai Harijan,68, Bablu Harijan,45 and Sapna Harijan, 19 were injured.
The first to discover the scene was Sheela, the daughter of the family, who returned home from her in-laws' house. She found her mother, brothers and sister-in-law lying unconscious. Sheela immediately alerted neighbours and police.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene to investigate and arrested 19-year-old Ayush Jhanjhot and 21-year-old Rohit Jhanjhot, both brothers for the attack.
MLA Dilip Singh Parihar also visited the hospital to ensure proper treatment for the injured. He also called for an investigation and financial assistance for victims. A case was registered and further investigation is underway.
Kidnapped girl rescued within 24 hrs
Police team on Friday recovered the kidnapped 16 year-old girl in 24 hours after her abduction.
As per reports, victim’s mother lodged a complaint with Nayagaon police station stating that her daughter left home without informing anyone. Based on complaint, police registered a case under Section 137 (2) of the BNS.
Three teams were formed and sent in different locations to rescue the girl. Acting on a tip off, police was able to rescue the kidnapped girl and safely returned over to her parents.
