Free ration for the next 5 years
The Government of India has given a big gift regarding free ration. Under this, the free ration being given to the people will continue for the next 5 years i.e. you will continue to get free ration till the year 2028. For this, the Union Cabinet, while taking this important decision, said that the free supply of nutritious rice (fortified rice) will be continued till the year 2028. It has been decided to continue it till the year 2028 by spending Rs 17,082 crore under the schemes.
Will you get the benefit?
The Government of India had announced to provision of free ration during the Corona period, but its benefit is available only to those people who live their lives on or below the poverty line. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for you to have a ration card.
Landless agricultural laborers, marginal farmers, rural artisans/craftsmen such as potters, leather workers, weavers, blacksmiths, carpenters, people living in slums, porters, rickshaw pullers, fruit and flower sellers, snake charmers, rag pickers, cobblers and destitute, etc. are eligible.
The benefit of free ration given under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ration is given according to each member of the family. Provided that the name of that member is registered in the ration card. For this, you have to go to the government ration shop on the date of getting the ration and then you can get a free ration.
