The Telecom Act 2023 has come into effect in the country. Its rules are very strict and if you do not follow them, you can get into trouble. Under this, keeping more than 9 SIMs can result in a fine of 2 lakhs and three years in jail.
This limit is 6 in Jammu and Kashmir, Assam. If you use more than 9 SIM cards on the same Aadhaar card, then you can get into trouble. If you do not follow this rule and take more than 9 SIMs on the same Aadhaar or misuse the SIM, then for breaking the rule for the first time, a fine of Rs 50 thousand will have to be paid and for breaking it repeatedly, a fine of 2 lakhs will be imposed.
There will be no jail for keeping more than 9 SIMs, but if your SIM is used for wrong work, then you can get into trouble.
