A bizarre case has emerged from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman left her husband and ran away with her brother-in-law due to dissatisfaction with her husband's beard. The incident has shocked the community, with the husband, a Maulana, desperately searching for his wife and brother-in-law before finally lodging a missing person report with the police.
The Maulana, who lives in Ujjawal Garden in Lisadi Gate, had married the woman from Inchauli seven months ago. However, after the marriage, the wife developed an aversion to her husband's beard. She repeatedly pressured him to shave it off, insisting that the marriage had been arranged under family pressure and that if they were to live together, he would have to remove his beard.
Despite her insistence, the Maulana refused to comply, explaining that he would not shave it off. This disagreement led to tension in their relationship. During this time, the wife had reportedly developed a romantic relationship with her brother-in-law, and when the Maulana went out for work one day, the two of them seized the opportunity to run away.
Two months ago, the wife and her brother-in-law disappeared, prompting the Maulana to file a missing person report. The police investigation later revealed that the woman was located in Ludhiana, and a team has been sent to trace her and her brother-in-law.
The Maulana explained that his wife had always been liberal-minded and did not like his beard. Her constant pressure to shave it had led to the conflict, and ultimately, she chose to elope with her brother-in-law. The police have begun their investigation, with efforts underway to recover both individuals.
This unusual case highlights not only marital conflict but also the complex dynamics that can sometimes arise in relationships, leading to dramatic and unexpected actions.
