Eric Esch, famously known as Butterbean, is eager to step into the ring with Jake Paul after calling out the YouTuber-turned-boxer yet again.
Butterbean has made an astounding comeback from severe health issues, at one point tipping the scales at 515lbs – just over 36 stone – and being confined to a wheelchair. His disciplined transformation through yoga and diet alterations enabled him to shed over 200lbs, undergo necessary hip surgery, and even contemplate a boxing return.
The 58-year-old has became a big hit during his prime years as a boxer due to his unique physique and his jaw-dropping knockout power. Despite calling out the 28-year-old social media sensation regularly over the last few months, Paul has refused to engage in a war of words with Butterbean.
Following Paul's recent win, Esch has called for a clash with the young boxing star. Speaking with , Butterbean said: "I want to fight Jake so bad. When I was in my wheelchair, Jake said some nasty stuff about me. When I started getting healthy again, I'm going, you know what, I'm going to push myself until I'm able to knock him out, and guess what, I'm here," reports All Out Fighting.

At 58, Esch is adamant that he hits harder than a lot of Paul's recent opponents in the ring. “I hit so much harder than these guys. That’s why it would be such a great fight. I’ll be honest, the Tyson fight thing I think was the biggest BS," he continued. Just because he’s an older guy doesn’t mean he couldn’t have knocked Jake out.
"I, myself, I would take it to him, he wouldn’t know what to think. It would be a good fight. I think it would be a competitive fight for me but I know I can take him and he thinks he can take me, so that’s what would make it a good fight, me knowing I can knock him out and him thinking he can knock me out.”
Butterbean also reached out to Paul's business associate Nakisa Bidarian with a bold declaration of readiness, highlighting his journey from wheelchair to training in anticipation of a bout with the 'Problem Child'. "Tell him (Bidarian) that he is ready. People want to see it because it is an American dream. You do not want to give somebody that has dreamed for this fight... knock the opportunity to make it happen. I come from a wheelchair, to running just to fight Jake. So that is why I am here."
Paul recently secured another win in the boxing ring, defeating former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last month. The American controlled the fight from the get-go, with Chavez Jr posing little threat until the later rounds. Ultimately, the 'Problem Child' improved his record to 12-1 following a unanimous decision win in Anaheim.
