With Craig Tinker leaving , a brutal attack on Monday night left fans asking if he dies.
The character, played by actor , was overpowered and brutally hit over the head with a bat by villain Mick Michaelis. Craig had tried to arrest the character after finding him drunk in his van, moments after responding to calls about a domestic disturbance at his address.
Craig had attended the house only to be told by Mick's wife Lou that all was fine. Of course viewers soon realised it was not, and off camera we could heard Mick attacking his wife, with it confirmed Lou was the victim of domestic abuse.
We later saw her calling him and telling him to come home after their showdown, with Lou seen sporting a nasty head injury. Mick got angrier and angrier and vowed to find Kit Green, wanting revenge on him after discovering Kit might be the real father of their son Brody.
With Craig eager to impress colleague Kit with his policing, he tracked down Mick and planned to arrest him. A riled up Mick took brutal action though, and left Craig for dead in a horrifying assault.

As Craig saw Mick wielding the bat and threatening him, he drew his police baton warning him away. But as Craig went to use this, Mick slammed the bat across Craig's head.
With that Craig fell silent and fell to the floor, with blood pouring from his head. Mick appeared shocked by his actions, shouting at an injured Craig to get up off the floor.
But Craig did not move and remained lifeless, with Mick then stealing something from him, possibly his camera, before getting into his van. Mick drove off and left a badly wounded Craig for dead, not calling for help or even trying to help him.
The episode ended there, while spoilers for Wednesday have revealed that Craig is found by Maria Connor who calls for an ambulance. Craig will be rushed to hospital where his condition deteriorates, but it is yet to be confirmed whether he lives or dies.
What we do know is that Craig is leaving the show this week, leaving fans fearing he will be killed off. Colson is leaving the role he joined at 11 years of age, with the character written out by bosses.

Viewers will have to tune in this week to find out Craig's fate and whether he leaves the show dead or alive. But the episode on Monday understandably left fans shaken, with many left "feeling ill".
The brutal attack and Mick leaving Craig to die left fans heartbroken, fearing what was to follow on from the scenes that were difficult to watch. Taking to social media, one fan commented: "Today's Corrie broke my heart. Poor Craig."
Another fan said: "Absolutely brutal and heartbreaking," as a third said: "Omg that was brutal, I feel ill. So vile, how could they just leave him there like that." A fourth viewer commented: "Craig’s enthusiasm, Lisa’s pep talk, the voicemail he left Lisa, him getting whacked round the head, I CAN’T DEAL."
