We may get closer to the truth about Liam Cavanagh's upcoming attack next week on .
The doctor is seemingly assaulted and left unconscious, rescued by Mackenzie Boyd. Maxk finds him injured and bleeding, and soon Chas Dingle and her son Aaron Dingle are alerted to the horror unfolding in the village.
The spoilers released prior to Tuesday's batch did not give away what happened or whether Liam was okay. But now new spoilers have confirmed his fate, and soon there's an update on the incident and a past character.
It seems as predicted by viewers, Ella will be immediately accused of the crime after her recent showdown with ex Liam. Just weeks ago she was accused of a harassment campaign against Liam and his new fiancée Chas.
From cancelling their wedding to non-stop messages and calls, as well as Chas' overdose, not forgetting the brick through the pub window, it seemed Ella was out to get the pair. Scenes resulted in Ella's arrested despite her protests of innocence, when Liam fell and hit his head during a confrontation with her.

But fans know it was all John. He did all of the above and then allowed Ella to be framed. That said, Ella is still deemed to be guilty and it seems Liam and Chas accuse her once more, this time for the attack.
Some news about Ella though leaves them shocked, and soon it's clear someone else is to blame. PC Swirling shows up with an update about the assault as they look into the culprit.
But he quickly tells Liam that Ella has an iron-clad alibi for when the incident took place. It completely rules Ella out as being the person who attacked him, leaving them both reeling and disheartened.
It dawns on them that someone else hurt Liam, but who is to blame and why? Perhaps the theory about Chas' future son-in-law John being to blame could be proven. With Ella ruled out, surely there is literally no one else it can be.
It wouldn't be the first time John orchestrated an incident to play the hero either. Chas has no idea that John killed her nephew Nate Robinson with a plot to 'save him' leading to his accidental death.
A similar incident happened when he deliberately caused Jacob Gallagher, who has a severe nut allergy, to go into anaphylactic shock so that he could once again save the day. It seems he has some sort of saviour complex, and he's hurting people to then be able to bring them back to life.
So does John to strike again and attack his boss to be the hero once more? Viewers think this might not be the case, and perhaps Liam is trying to catch him out.
After all he seemed suspicious over the events that led to Jacob's allergic reaction at the surgery, and noted how he was always there to save the day. So has Liam figured out what's going on with John, and could he fake an attack to see whether John will come running?
Fans certainly think so with one theory reading: "Ok, I'm going to suggest that Liam isn't going to been technically injured but he's going to set up a scene of needing to be rescued to see if John 'comes to his rescue' as he's suspicious of his hero symptoms and is on his radar of needing to be watched." Another fan said: "John comes to the rescue again - this time to save Liam after MacKenzie finds him 'attacked' in the village - is all as it seems?"
