Fantastic Four Fortnite skins – price, release date and everything you can get from the Item Shop

The Fantastic Four have returned to cinemas worldwide, and with First Steps comes a new collection of Fortnite cosmetics to keep players locked in as Marvel's First Family.

Superheroes have had the rule of the roost during this Fortnite season. It's working, too – players are still working through the Superman-headlined Super Battle Pass, and getting stuck into the game's well-themed new items that give them the chance to fire ravens out of their hands and dive through the air like Max Payne.

Of course, it doesn't end there with the Blitz Royale mode keeping players incredibly busy, and now that the Fortnite live event start time for the throwback Blast Off showcase, there's heaps for fans to get stuck into. There's more to come, though, as Marvel's first family are coming to the title with a collection of Fantastic Four Fortnite skins to celebrate their latest movie First Steps.

But what precisely is in the bundle itself? Here's everything you need to know about the Fantastic Four Fortnite skins.

Fantastic Four Fortnite release time

The Fantastic Four Fortnite skins will be released on Friday, July 25, at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT and Saturday, July 26, at 1am BST. This information comes straight from the horse's mouth, as the official Fortnite account has unveiled the date in a fresh

The release time is based on the Item Shop rollover time.

These skins are expected to grace the Item Shop for about a week before they depart, similar to the Fortnite Street Fighter cosmetics. However, unlike the returning fighting game characters, we anticipate that the Fantastic Four Fortnite skins will make a comeback shortly after.

It's common for new cosmetic crossovers to return within roughly a month at this stage, but beyond that, it's tricky to predict when they'll reappear in the Item Shop, so you might want to grab them as soon as you can.

If you want to buy these skins from an empty wallet, you're going to have to shell out for a pack of 5,000 V-Bucks, which will run you £27.99 / $36.99 / AU$47.95. It's certainly not ideal, but if you're interested in just one of the new characters, then choosing one of them is the cheaper option, as they don't breach 1,800 V-Bucks by themselves.

With some uninspired Back Blings and a frustrating skewed Outfit pricing system, this feels a little silly, especially as this will establish a ranking of rarity among the family who are supposed to be equals. This doesn't even consider how daft it is that the Fantastic Four Space Craft simply isn't a part of the bundle, either. It's a bizarre bundle, but there's little doubt that players will get involved regardless.

Fantastic Four Fortnite Cup

A new Fantastic Four Fortnite Cup is being held to celebrate the launch of the new cosmetics, offering you the opportunity to not only bag some exclusive loot, but also get your mitts on the family of characters early and for free. When the Fantastic Four Battle Royale Squads Cup commences on Wednesday, July 23, you'll earn the It's Clobberin' Time Spray if you survive for a total of 60 minutes, and you'll receive the Flame On Emoticon for surviving a total of 120 minutes.

Moreover, if you're one of your region's top scoring squads, you'll unlock the full cast of Fantastic Four Fortnite skins for free as part of the entire cosmetic bundle along with other items.
