Potential house buyers have been left "flabbergasted" by an unusual bathroom/kitchen combination in a family property currently for sale. The three-bedroom house, located in Brislington, Bristol, looks completely normal from the street.
And most of the property appears charming and inviting. However, an open-plan utility space has been strangely arranged with a toilet positioned within it, alongside more conventional kitchen equipment and fittings.
The area houses the washing machine, a fridge-freezer, a sink, and even a coffee maker arranged on a worktop and connected ready for operation. Yet despite food and beverages being kept there, there's no divider separating the area from the lavatory.

The space has been labelled as the "utility/downstairs WC". The property photographs were posted on social media, where observers were left "flabbergasted" by the layout, as reported by Luxury Property News.

One person said: "I get that's a utility room but... Imagine having your fridge in a windowless room where someone just had a rough time on the throne. Or your washing. Either settle for one toilet or put a small cubicle in.
"This new trend of open plan s***ters has to stop," another commented. Someone else posted: "That's got to be breaking some health and safety regulations surely?"

Another person added: "Oh that's grim, and right next to a kettle and stuff. Imagine how many airborne poop particles are in that fridge and cooking area."
The remainder of the terraced house appears perfectly normal, boasting three bedrooms, a large lounge, a dining room, a kitchen that leads to the back garden, and a complete family bathroom upstairs.
It's currently listed for offers in excess of £400,000 with Moving You.
