Katya Mackle, better known by her TikTok handle @katya.mackle, where she chats about family, cooking, home decor and clever tips, has revealed a straightforward, budget-friendly method to prevent your bread from drying out and getting mouldy.
Her secret? Simply pop a stick of celery into the same bag as your bread. Mum-of-the-year Katya shared: "In order to make the bread last longer, I use celery. Bread does not dry and does not mould for two to three weeks."
In her viral video, she shows how she slips a couple of celery sticks into the bag with her loaf of soft white farmhouse bread.
Katya assures her followers that the celery won't mess with the bread's flavour or scent. And the cherry on top? This hack doesn't need any fancy gadgets or pricey products.
