India's S-400 came into operation for the first time

On the night of 7-8 May, India used the Russian S-400 missile defense system in operation for the first time. Several missiles and drones were sent by Pakistan towards military and civilian targets in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan. But the Indian Air Force destroyed all these threats in time with the help of the S-400 "Sudarshan Chakra". The Defense Ministry said in a statement that India is fully prepared to protect its sovereignty and there was no loss of life or property in this attack.

India also carried out air strikes in response to Pakistan

India retaliated after Pakistan tried to target 15 Indian cities. The Indian Air Force targeted air defense systems in many areas of Pakistan including Lahore. This attack was part of "Operation Sindoor", which was launched in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. A total of 9 terrorist hideouts located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) were destroyed in this operation.

Strength and price of S-400

The S-400 Triumph missile system is a very modern and powerful air defense system made by Russia. It is used to protect against enemy air attacks. India had signed a deal with Russia in 2018 for about ₹35,000 crore (about $5.4 billion) to buy it. India has so far received three sets (squadrons) of the S-400 system and the remaining two will arrive by 2026. This system can track 160 enemy objects (such as aircraft, missiles, drones) simultaneously and can kill 72 of them simultaneously. The range of the S-400 is up to 400 kilometers, which means it can identify and attack the enemy from this distance. It gets activated and ready to attack in just 5 minutes. This system can also destroy enemy fighter aircraft, drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles in the air itself. Therefore, it is a very important and powerful weapon for India's security.

'Sudarshan Chakra' became the protector of the sky

The Indian Air Force has named the S-400 missile system as 'Sudarshan Chakra'. This name has been kept on the divine weapon of Lord Vishnu which is considered to be very fast, accurate and capable of killing the enemy from a distance. S-400 also has the same qualities, so this name is absolutely perfect for it. Former Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor told that Pakistan had planned to attack 15 cities of India, but it could not do so due to S-400. This system is made of such good technology that it can keep an eye on every move of the enemy and can respond immediately. S-400 is not only capable of stopping enemy missiles and ships, but it also instills fear in the mind of the enemy.
