Munawar Faruqui's name added to Lawrence Bishnoi's hit list

After the shooting of former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, now stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is facing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to reports, an attempt was made to target Munawar in Delhi last month, after which his security has been tightened. Mumbai Police has increased security around him as a precaution.

Police saved his life in time

A police officer said that Munavvar Farooqui may be in danger from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Although the exact reason for this threat is not yet clear, the police is trying to gather more information on this. It was told that there was an attempt to kill him in Delhi last month. Some people were following Munavvar, but due to the vigilance of the intelligence agency, the attack was foiled in time and Munavvar was rescued safely. After this incident, the police is on high alert regarding Munavvar's security.

Why is Munawar becoming a target?

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is said to be angry with Munawar Faruqui due to his comments on Hindu deities in his show. He was targeted at an event in Delhi in September. The shooters traveled on the same flight and stayed at the same hotel where Munawar was supposed to stay. But intelligence agencies alerted the Delhi Police in time, causing the plan to fail. Munawar has been receiving threats for the past few years, and the threat has increased further after this incident.

Murder of Baba Siddiqui

Baba Siddiqui was shot by three assailants outside his son's office in Khar area of Mumbai on the night of October 12. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang also took responsibility for this incident.
