NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol is currently wanted in connection with organized crime and is chargesheeted in two NIA cases from 2022.

Recently, he gained attention during investigations related to the murder of NCP-SP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai. Additionally, Anmol is implicated in a shooting incident that occurred earlier this year outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

The NIA is ramping up efforts to locate Anmol, urging the public to provide any information that might assist in his capture. Authorities view him as a significant figure in organized crime, and his arrest could unveil crucial insights into broader illegal activities in the area.

This initiative follows a major operation conducted by the NIA earlier this year, during which raids were executed across 32 locations in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Chandigarh. These raids resulted in the confiscation of illegal firearms, ammunition, cash amounting to Rs 4.60 lakh, along with various documents and digital devices.

These actions are part of ongoing investigations into the activities of the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and the Lawrence Bishnoi Crime Syndicate. The NIA aims to thwart operations involving weapon smuggling, explosives, and planned killings and extortion.

In a targeted effort, the NIA conducted raids at seven locations associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates, including Goldy Brar. This crime syndicate has been known to operate across several states and even internationally, often collaborating with other notorious criminals.

These criminal networks have been implicated in high-profile crimes, such as the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, alongside various acts of large-scale extortion.
