Travelling is an exciting experience and can help you tick off bucket list spots. But these flights can prove uncomfortable and often mean you will have to suffer jetlag once you arrive.

on a plane always helps, but it can hard to get comfy enough to drift off, especially if you are travelling in economy. Plus the sound of the aeroplane, meal times, and can all prove disruptive. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing your neighbour fast asleep while you sit through another in-flight film, feeling shattered.

Thankfully, there are some great methods out there to help.

Content creator Logan Rae Hill says she can now sleep through most of her flights without being disturbed thanks to five items which have totally changed her flying experience.

Lauren said: "This is a foolproof way to sleep on an overnight flight. I am about to go on a seven-hour one, so I need to sleep the whole way. So this is everything I am doing and bringing...this is how I sleep every time."

Logan, who boasts just short of one million TikTok followers, added: "I do all my skincare before my airport, I feel like it's kind of gross to do skincare on a plane."

She also shared that she wears compression socks on flights that she bought for at a discount store. The socks help improve your circulation, minimising any swelling which can occur during prolonged sitting. The recommends wearing compression socks on flights to help reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can be a concern for travelers with or without a heart condition.

Logan, who travels a lot and lives between Nashville and NYC, also swears by a good neck pillow. She has one that wraps all the way around your neck and "looks like you are being choked by a snake". It prevents neck aches and strains, and allows you to tilt your head in any sleeping position.

The Infinity Pillow by Huzi has been rated as one of the best 'snake' neck pillows. It is available on , but there are also similar options available for less, such as the .

Logan also suggests getting a good eye mask that will block out all light from the plane, allowing for easy sleeping. While the tricks mentioned have helped her get to sleep on a plane, she also suggests two items which have helped her stay asleep on a flight.

She takes a brand of sleep gummies which she claims "actually keep you asleep." These contain melatonin, which is available to purchase over-the-counter in the US but requires a prescription in the UK.

"In some countries, melatonin is available to buy in health food shops or online. It's sold as a complementary medicine and comes as standard capsules, tablets or a liquid that you drink," the states. "However, these supplements are not authorised for sale in the UK and it's a prescription-only medicine. Ordering melatonin online is not recommended."

She also takes Dramamine, which contains the active ingredient dimenhydrinate. This is an antihistamine which is available over the counter primarily to treat the symptoms of motion sickness. One of the major side effects of dimenhydrinate is drowsiness.

Medicine should only be used for its intended purpose. Before taking any medication or supplement, it is important to do your own research and consult with a doctor if you have any concerns. Always read the label and contact a medical professional if you experience severe side effects.

Commenting on Logan's neck pillow, one person said: "That neck pillow looks awesome! For my last long flight I bought an eye mask where the back attaches to your head rest and it was a game changer. My neck stayed stable and I was actually able to fall."

One other who tried the hack, said: "Ok, so after your last video on this, I ought the neck pillow/drowsy sleep mask and took dramamine for my flight - slept for 7 of the 9 hours."

One other suggested: "Add inflatable foot rest. Trust me. You're welcome."
