Emily Clarkson wore a black bikini in her garden on Monday and spoke passionately about a common difficulty she and other women face while being in the public eye. The eldest child of Jeremy Clarkson shared that she felt "depressed" to see both men and women being cruel to famous women with "normal bodies". She specifically referenced singer Lola Young, who performed at Glastonbury over the weekend, and received thousands of hurtful comments from social media users.
The Messy singer had taken to the stage in a bra top and tartan shorts as temperatures in the UK began to rise amid a heatwave. While many praised her vocals and for being "unapologetically" herself, others criticised her revealing attire. Emily, 30, shared: "I've just been scrolling through the comment section under Lola Young's video, and it is so depressing. Which is why it is so important to me that I say this next bit with my chest and my tummy out, that I don't hide this normal f***ing body. Why does what Lola Young's body looks like matter so much?"

Emily continued: "Why do we need to damage women so much. Is it that ***ng tragic that we have to try and break women in half? What do we want from her? Or any woman? To lose weight? Look at Meghan Trainor. We weren't happy when she did that. What do you want other than a sea of broken women?"
The Messy singer wowed audiences over the weekend at the music festival as she belted out hits in a bra top and tartan shorts.
In response to Emily, her fans shared their dismay over the remarks, as they declared Lola's onstage confidence as "refreshing". One wrote: "Breaks my heart when I see women joining in with this sh**. Looks like a fab lass who knows her worth though."
Another replied: "You're beautiful. Lola is beautiful. Sad some can't see it."
Emily welcomed her second child, Xanthe, with husband Alex Andrew back in December of last year and has been remarkably candid about sharing her health difficulties during her pregnancy online. She described it as "the hardest thing I have ever been through" due to experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum, which is prolonged and severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
The influencer said in an Instagram post that by 16 weeks she weighed less than before she was pregnant, had been taken to the hospital for dehydration, had been bedbound and felt "physically sick" at everyday things such as "the smell of my daughter's hair", or the thought of an avocado.
She said the experience brought on pre-natal depression, saying: "It has been the hardest thing I have ever been through, harder in my second pregnancy than my first, due largely to the devastating guilt I felt not being able to be there in the way I wanted for my first daughter whilst making my second."
