GB News was halted by Nana Akua and Ben Leo for some breaking news about King Charles and US President Donald Trump. The two had been planning to meet at Balmoral Castle in Scotland during the President's visit next week, but royal correspondent Cameron Walker reported this had been called off.
Nana told viewers: "We have some breaking news regarding Donald Trump's visit to Scotland next week. Cameron Walker, what's the breaking?" Cameron said: "I've been told by royal sources that King Charles will not be meeting Donald Trump in Scotland," as Nana gasped at the news on air.
He continued: "The meeting is not happening, I've been told, this has been mutually agreed by Buckingham Palace and the White House. Diary clashes is what I'm being told is the reason why, but if you look back to when Keir Starmer was in the Oval Office with Trump he gave the letter to the President inviting him for a state visit
"The letter suggested that the two should meet in Balmoral in Scotland, but that appears to no longer be happening for a face to face meeting between the two. It seems it has been agreed for Trump and King Charles to meet face to face at the state visit in September in Windsor.
"That will still be happening, no plans have changed for that, but Scotland, not happening."
