Katie Price has shared an emotional update about where her son Harvey will be living, months after he was heartbreakingly removed from his £350,000-a-year residential college.
The mum-of-five, 47, documented the bittersweet road trip to Southampton to travel to his new home on social media, where 23-year-old Harvey will be starting a new chapter in an independent living facility.
Harvey, who was born with Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, ADHD and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness, was previously enrolled in a specialist college. However, in February, Katie revealed he couldn't return as he had been deemed "too difficult" by staff.
In a new video posted to her Snapchat, Katie filmed herself and Harvey about to embark on the 90 minute drive, saying: "I'm back in the van, we're going to your new place until October. Are you excited?"
Harvey replied: "Yes."
Turning to the camera, Katie told fans: "I'm on my way to take Harvey to his next place after college. We've got about an hour and 20 [minutes'] drive and I don't know how I'm going to feel leaving him there."
She added: "I hate leaving you there, Harv." Harvey then cheekily quipped: "It's s***, innit mum," which made Katie laugh, adding: "Stop making me laugh."
Trying to stay upbeat, she reassured him: "I'm going to come and see you on Saturday."
After dropping him off, she admitted: "Oh I don't like these days at all but he's 23 and he's got to go to residential now." Katie captioned the clip: "Love Harvey's positivity today," as he gave a thumbs-up and told her: "I love you mum."
The night before, she also shared a touching video of the two cuddling in bed before their road trip.
The move comes after Katie revealed that Harvey, who now weighs close to 30 stone, is set to begin weight-loss injections to manage his condition. Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast, she said: "Hopefully Harvey starts his Mounjaro this week, but we'll talk about that next week and I'll go through all of what's happening about that."
Back in April, she shared her concern: "I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up... It's so life-threatening now."
Back in February Katie revealed that the management at Harvey's residential home had changed and they had said they could no longer care for him. Speaking on her podcast she said: "Harvey is supposed to be moving in four-and-a-half weeks, they've changed management and said they won't be able to cater for Harv, because he's too difficult. So now I've got to find another placement for him... so yeah, more drama to deal with."
Katie shares Harvey with ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, and is also mum to Junior and Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett and Bunny with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
