Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen announces huge milestone with rarely seen girlfriend

After first starring on his parents' Amanda and Clive Owen's hit Channel 5 documentary series, Our Yorkshire Farm, Reuben has ventured off with his own spin-off series, Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales. As well as having a focus on his growing heavy plant machinery business, the show also shines a light on the 21-year-old's romantic relationship with Jessica Ellwood.

As Reuben often gushes about their sweet romance during his show, the star revealed that Jessica, a young shepherdess, and his famous mum, Amanda, have a number of things in common. "Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together, they all approve, and they all get along really well." Fans have also taken a major liking to her as she surprised Reuben with a touching birthday cake after a tumultuous road trip with his pals.

He also gushed over her looks and praised: "She's absolutely stunning. She looks great when she's all smartened up when we go out and she looks lovely when she is working with me. She is just really pretty."

Reuben also opened up about his future hopes with Jessica as he shared his dream of owning a farm where there'll be space for his machinery, alongside Jessica's flock of sheep.

"We're just waiting for something to come up," Reuben says. "I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows.

Although marriage is not on the cards yet, the 21-year-old is certain he will get there "eventually", but has no interest in following in his parents' footsteps with nine children. He stated: "I don't think I fancy nine of them, I don't fancy nine at all. We'll have to wait and see."

Fans have enjoyed watching the couple immerse themselves in each other's worlds and overcome multitudes of obstacles together on the show.

However, he revealed that asking her to join the show was a big decision, as they had only been together for a few months when filming began, but Reuben remains certain that it was the right choice.

The 21-year-old explained: "She was working on a lot of jobs with us, and I thought it would be nice for her to be on, and I just want people to see how lovely she is." Reuben added: "She's just such a great character and such a lovely person."

It wasn't just Jessica's personality that impressed the TV star, as he boasted of her farming expertise, which she gained after growing up on Brough Castle Farm, where she helped her parents with various jobs.

"She's got an incredible knowledge of farming and machinery," Reuben says. "I don't think there'll be anyone that can beat her on farming knowledge."
