Shocking news has erupted as Ozzy Osbourne's former lead guitarist, Jake E. Lee, was reportedly "shot multiple times" while out walking his dog, according to the latest reports.

The musician's representative has confirmed that the "random" shooting occurred in Las Vegas and Jake is currently receiving care in an intensive care unit. Known for his five-year tenure with rock legend Ozzy, Lee has been a prominent figure in the music scene, contributing to various bands after departing from Ozzy's ensemble.

During an early morning stroll with his pet, Lee became the victim of a treacherous "shooting", sparking a police investigation as per recent updates. "Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital," his representative revealed to Dailymail.com.

After stepping into the shoes of late guitarist Randy Rhodes in 1982, Lee forged an impressive path, playing with Osbourne until 1987, going on to join Badlands, and later initiating Red Dragon Cartel in 2013. Fans, anguished by the distressing news, have swarmed social media with messages of support for Jake.

One fan lamented: "What has happened to our country?"

Another sent well wishes stating: "Get well soon Jake!" An additional comment read: "Wishing Jake all the best."

Meanwhile, a fourth shared: "Prayers to Jake E Lee for a speedy recovery."

Jake E. Lee, the guitarist who was offered an audition to join Ozzy's band after impressing his wife and manager Sharon Osborune with a photograph and video of his performance, has shared his journey through the rock world.

Initially, George Lynch of Dokken fame had his eyes on the coveted spot, having been called to play at Ozzy's sound checks, but it was Jake who ultimately secured the gig.

At 25 years old, Jake told Louder Sound: "I did feel bad but not as bad as I felt good. And at least I had an early experience of how Ozzy fires people."

He also reflected on his time with Ozzy, admitting that he "sobered up" after observing the rock legend and contemplating that this could be his future.

After touring globally with Ozzy for five years, Jake claims he was unexpectedly dismissed in 1987, just hours after a cordial dinner with X Factor star Sharon, leaving him blindsided by the decision.

Earlier this year, Jake revealed that he hasn't spoken to the Osbournes since, yet he holds no grudges or hard feelings towards them.

Post-Ozzy, Jake took a year off before returning to the music scene with bands like Badlands, Wicked Alliance, and Bourgeois Pigs. He then carved out a successful solo career and later formed the group Red Dragon Cartel.
