Several streets have been closed off in a Welsh town due to what has been described as a "serious" incident. South Wales Police said in a short statement: "Officers are at the scene of an incident in Barry Road, Barry. A police cordon is in place and a number of roads are closed."
The public has been told to avoid the area. The following road closures are in place: Barry Road, junction of Herbert Street and Davies Street, Barry Road near Tuck in Cafe, Court Road, junction of Davies Street, and Court Road, junction of Hannah Street.
