As you can see from the video above, Mafia: The Old Country seemingly takes elements of Red Dead Redemption and GTA.
There's horse riding and driving, not to mention stealth and lots of gunfights, just like the aforementioned games.
Unlike the more open-world experiences found in GTA and Red Dead Redemption, Mafia: The Old Country is described as a more linear adventure.
President of developer Hangar 13 Nick Baynes explains more: "Mafia: The Old Country is a focused, linear experience that combines quality storytelling, authentic era immersion and a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay.
"That focus allows us to deliver a story that's gritty, grounded, brutal and emotional. Embracing early 1900s era Sicily, this is a mafia origin story that follows our protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he takes the oath and works his way up Don Torrisi's crime family."
Mafia: The Old Country pre-orders have also gone live alongside the newly announced release date.
Priced at £44.99, the Standard Edition contains the base game only, although pre-order customers will receive the "Soldato" Outfit, "Scannaturi Speciale" Knife, "Tesoro" Horse and Accessories and "Lupara" Charm.
The Deluxe Edition costs £54.99, and contains a selection of in-game items, as well as the soundtrack and artbook.
