President-elect Donald Trump and his team is working at Mar-a-Lago to get the best picks for the 47th president’s administration, The New York Post reported citing an aide. The transition team and its working is much different than the one that sat down at Trump Tower eight years ago, when reports of infighting and public jockeying emerged. “There’s a lot more alignment, policy-wise, this time with the transition team than there was in 2016,” an aide told The Post. A second person told the publication that the transition teams are led by 'longtime Republican figures rather than political novices and clashing personalities'. On Thursday, Trump announced that his campaign manager Susie Wiles will be his White House Chief Of Staff. Other likely cabinet picks are:Department of Treasury: Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has emerged as a strong candidate, leveraging his financial background to handle national fiscal policies.Department of Homeland Security: Former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf is reportedly a leading choice. Department of Defense: North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum may be under consideration. Department of Justice: Senator Eric Schmitt from Missouri has been mentioned for the role of Attorney General. Department of Education: Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur and political figure with reformist views on education, is seen as a likely pick to revamp educational policy. Tesla chief Elon Musk and Robert F Kennedy Jr are also expected to play key roles, if not in the cabinet, as Trump takes over the White House.
