Ajmer: Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Manindra Mohan Shrivastava said that the number of cases is regularly increasing in the country, but, the development of judicial infrastructure has not kept pace in proportion to this. For this, he is trying to develop judicial infrastructure by establishing coordination with the state govt.

"The new building in Ajmer will not only provide suitable facilities to the judges and advocates in one place but will also be a step ahead in achieving justice for the litigants," said the Chief Justice. He also emphasised the national court management system, pre-litigation mediation, and better use of technical resources.

Justice Shrivastava inaugurated the new building of the district and session court of Ajmer on Sunday. It is constructed with Rs 150 crore on 22 hectares, just opposite the old court building on Jaipur Road. He added, "A fair, independent, and fearless judicial system is essential for any modern and developed society." He further said, "The judicial system is an important part of society, and it is important that it remains strong, transparent, and accountable, as there are more than 1 lakh cases pending in courts, most of which are criminal cases, and for the resolution of which the use of technical equipment is necessary."

On this occasion, Justice Mahendra Goyal said that 30 lakh residents of Ajmer will benefit from this new building. "During the British rule in 1818, a 5-tier judicial system was started. The Chief Commissioner Court was established in 1872, and the Judicial Commissioner Court was started in 1926, and the Privy Council for appeal was started."
