CBSE introduces six-digit access code activation for Digilocker accounts of Class 10 and 12 students: Check official notice here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new six-digit access code-based activation system for students' Digilocker accounts, aimed at enabling Class 10 and 12 students to securely access their digital academic documents .

With this development, students can now retrieve their marksheets, migration certificates, and other documents under the ‘Issued Documents’ section of the Digilocker platform. Schools have been instructed to download and distribute individual student access codes through their own Digilocker school accounts.

CBSE results 2025 : Official notice issuedAccording to an official CBSE notification, the access codes will be uploaded student-wise and made available in the Digilocker accounts of respective schools. These codes will allow students to activate their personal Digilocker accounts, where digital academic records are stored in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The official notice reads, “For several years now, CBSE has been opening Digilocker accounts in advance for students of Class X and XII to provide immediate access to academic documents through its digital repository, Parinam Manjusha, following the declaration of results.

CBSE board results 2025: Student access to academic documentsAfter receiving their individual access codes, students can access their digital academic records using the steps as given here:

Step 1. Visit the results portal at results.digilocker.gov.in.

Step 2. Use the access code to activate the Digilocker account.

Step 3. For any issues, students can raise a ticket at nad-support.digilocker.gov.in, selecting the category "CBSE International Student 2025."

Step 1. Visit the official Digilocker CBSE portal at cbse.digitallocker.gov.in.

Step 2. Select ‘Login as school’ from the dropdown menu and log in using school credentials.

Step 3. Choose the option ‘Download access code file’.

Step 4. In the newly opened window, select the appropriate class—Class 10 or Class 12—to download the access codes.

Step 5. Once downloaded, the access codes should be distributed to students along with a user manual, which is also available for download from the same portal.
