Disney thrilled their fans with news of release dates for two long-awaited sequels, 'Freakier Friday' and the live-action 'Lilo & Stitch'. After the exciting presentation at the D23 Expo, filmmakers declared that both films are scheduled for 2025, driving all the fans more excited and impatient to watch their favorite stars back on screen.

'Freakier Friday' is set to hit cinemas on August 8, 2025, while 'Lilo & Stitch' comes in much earlier on May 23, 2025. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return to 'Freakier Friday' after two decades since they featured in the original hit comedy. The sequel will give competition for an untitled Paul Thomas Anderson project.

Original cast members who will join Curtis and Lohan in the film include Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Michell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. According to the sources, the filming for the movie has been completed.

Official plot description for the Disney movie 'Freakier Friday' finally reveals a multigenerational twist on the beloved 2003 film. Years after navigating their own identity crisis, it has Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) helping navigate it for their offspring, now that Anna's daughter is ready to meet a stepdaughter. As they face the challenge of merging two families, Tess and Anna discover that "lightning might indeed strike twice."

Chris Sanders will be back voicing Stitch in 'Lilo & Stitch', while Sydney Agusong will voice Lilo. The movie boasts other famous casts like Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance, and Tia Carrere. The movie is written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, with action galore.

The Memorial Day weekend will have to share its slot with 'Mission Impossible's' next installment starring the iconic Tom Cruise. Both films could get a huge boost with this release. While 'Lilo & Stitch' looks like a family-friendly film, 'Mission Impossible' reaches out to a male-dominated audience. In all ways, Disney's schedule promises to be a real treat for any age group.
