In the upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, contestant Hitali Jagwani from Maharashtra takes the hot seat. During her heartfelt conversation with Mr. Bachchan, the audience learns about Hitali’s passion for teaching and her dedication to shaping young minds, as she makes a positive impact on her community. For 24 years, Hitali pursued her dream of appearing on Kaun Banega Crorepati, and her perseverance finally paid off this season.
In addition to being an educator, Hitali is a passionate content creator who loves making social media reels. Having long dreamt of acting, Hitali proudly declared that she made her acting debut in front of Amitabh Bachchan on the KBC stage. In a fun and light-hearted moment during the episode, Hitali requested Mr. Bachchan to shoot a reel with her to "prove" something to her husband, who isn’t a fan of social media. Always gracious with fan requests, Big B obliged, and together they reenacted the iconic line “do lafzon ki hai" from the film The Great Gambler, with Hitali offering a red rose to Mr. Bachchan as part of their playful interaction.
When Mr. Bachchan inquired about how she met her husband, Hitali shared their charming love story, which began at a wedding in 2001. They started dating through emails—an early form of "e-dating"— quite ahead of its time. She also humorously recalled the challenges they faced due to their height difference. Still, with a smile, she likened their relationship to that of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, saying, “Hum Amitabh ji aur Jaya ji ke jaise jodi banenge. Wahaan se controversy khatam ho gayi”, making AB chuckle.
