'Jaat' hit the screens on Thursday last week and the film is doing significantly well at the box office. The big actioner sees Sunny in his quintessential avatar the way masses love to witness the star and there's also been positive word of mouth, which led to a good first weekend for the film. It saw a jump on Saturday and Sunday but has dropped on Monday and Tuesday gradually.
The film crosses Rs 50 crore on Day 6
Obviously, while one cannot compare the numbers of this film to Sunny's last film 'Gadar 2', this isn't a bad number for 'Jaat'. The film made a good Rs 14 crore on Sunday and then dropped by around 50 per cent on Monday. It clocked it Rs 7.5 crore on Monday. It further dropped on Tuesday and made Rs 6 crore. 'Jaat' has thus now crossed the Rs 50 crore mark as the total collection so far at the domestic box office is Rs 53.50 crore according to Sacnilk.
Dominating in Rajasthan, UP, Haryana
Jaat has been doing some great numbers in Rajasthan. According to Box Office India, it collected more in Jaipur on the first day than in Mumbai. It was the second highest collecting city after Delhi. Since the film has that 'jaat' community connection, it's doing exceptional business in Haryana and UP.
