Actress Jasmin Bhasin took a heartfelt trip down memory lane during a candid chat on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, recalling the very first day of shooting her debut television show Tashan-e-Ishq. Sharing the moment that marked the beginning of her acting career, Jasmin described it as deeply spiritual and personally significant.

“Our first day was in Amritsar because it was a Punjab-based show,” Jasmin said. “So my first scene was like I am stepping out of a Gurudwara. I felt like my entire journey was designed and planned because I come from the same faith. The first day of my career starts in a Gurudwara with prayers and blessings, and I knew it is his planning. I got blessings from him.”

The show, which starred Jasmin alongside Zain Imam and Sidhant Gupta, not only launched her television journey but also left her with lasting friendships and cherished memories.

“We had so much fun on set,” she added. “All three of us were new, and we would just keep laughing all day long. We have beautiful memories and had great chemistry together.”

Jasmin also spoke highly of her co-stars. About Sidhant Gupta, she said, “He is very focused and ambitious. He knew exactly when to do television and when to take breaks. I’ve worked just to survive sometimes, but Sidhant would take creative breaks to evolve as an actor. Recently, I saw him playing Charles Sobhraj—he was so attractive and nuanced that you actually ended up liking the character.”

On Zain Imam, she shared, “He is a very sweet and hardworking guy. I keep meeting him often. I’m a Punjabi, so the dialect came easy to me, but sometimes it was tough for him. Yet, I’ve never seen Zain lose patience. He is a very sincere boy.”

Jasmin’s reflections reveal the gratitude and growth that have shaped her journey since that first auspicious day.
