Mithun Chakraborty was recently honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 70th National Film Awards on October 8, 2024, revealed that he never sought favors or asked anyone in the industry to offer work to any of his four kids.
During his interaction with NDTV, Mithun Chakraborty shared his contrasting views on the perception of the entertainment industry as a 'family industry.' He noted that, despite having four children involved in films, he has never approached any producer or asked anyone to offer work to his sons.
The senior actor spoke about his sons, Namashi and Mimoh Chakraborty, noting that Namashi had auditioned for a role in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Bad Boy' while Mimoh worked with Vikram Bhatt in 'Haunted'.
Mithun explained that, despite their efforts in portraying their characters, the success of the films is a separate matter. He emphasized that he has never promoted his children in the industry, telling them that they must fight their own battles.
