Samantha Ruth Prabhu: 'I have been a "bad actor" for half my life' - Exclusive

After conquering the south, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now set to stamp her authority throughout the country. She took her first steps with Raj and DK ’s The Family Man 2 , and now she's back with them once again for Citadel Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan .

In the show, before becoming a spy, she plays an aspiring actress who has to go through multiple rounds of auditions to land a role, a clip of which is shared in the trailer. Now in an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress shared if that audition clip reminded her of her first audition that she gave to Gautam Vasudev Menon for her first film Ye Maaya Chesave back in 2010. Before she could answer, her director Krishna DK mentioned that the then audition would have been very different, because in Citadel she plays a bad actress and in there, she would have been a very good actor.

“ But I have been a bad actor for half my life ( laughs)," chimed Samantha! I would say that sometimes, I can be bad even now. It all depends actually, I don't think I will give myself all the credit, when you are with the right team and in the right hands, everything just falls in place. So I’m very capable of being as bad as Honey, even today ( laughs) ”

Samantha will reportedly next be seen in Rahi Anil Barve ’s upcoming web show Rakht Brahmand. She will be sharing screen space with Aditya Roy Kapur , Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi . Rahi Anil Barve is known for his debut film Tumbbad which on its re-release recently achieved bigger office success than its first run.
