Seema Sajdeh has gone through a high-profile divorce from actor Sohail Khan, and she has now opened up about the deep psychological impact of the legal process surrounding their separation. Despite the passage of time, the emotional weight of navigating family court remains fresh in her mind.
In a recent interview with Janice Sequeira, Seema shared how the court experience left her feeling humiliated and diminished. “The way they call your name, like you’re at a railway station. They’re yelling your name and people are looking. You feel so small, insignificant, unimportant, dispensable! I remember just feeling like, ‘Is this what it’s all about? Is this what it comes down to?’” Seema recounted. She also revealed the emotional intensity of the final court verdict, saying, “And when he (the judge) says, ‘Granted,’ I felt something die within me.”

Seema elaborated on her divorce from Sohail and reflected on how short life is. She believes laughter is the best medicine in a relationship, but when both partners stop laughing together, the relationship is over. “You should be able to reach a point where you like that person again. You shouldn’t hate that person… You tend to get so complacent in a marriage. At that time, if you’d asked me, I would’ve blamed everything on him,” she added.
Seema, a well-known fashion designer, had tied the knot with Sohail Khan in 1998 after ending her engagement to businessman Vikram Ahuja. The couple had two sons, Nirvan and Yohan, before parting ways after over two decades of marriage. Audiences got a glimpse into her personal life through her appearances on the OTT reality show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, where her divorce was addressed across the seasons. Interestingly, by the third season, Vikram Ahuja had made a comeback in her life as her partner.
