Francis Ngannou , the inaugural PFL heavyweight champion and the former UFC heavyweight champion, hasn’t had a decent career run in the last year, apart from his only win at the PFL. The predator’s boxing career faced a major debacle with back-to-back losses against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. While the fighter was still in a state of mourning upon his son’s tragic demise, Ngannou got involved in a motorcycle accident during the Easter weekend, which led to the death of a young woman. It is until now that the fighter has opened up about the incident.
Francis Nagnnou shows solidarity with the victim’s family, vows to support them in any way possibleA few weeks ago, during the Easter weekend, Francis Ngannou was navigating through the streets of Yaoundé when the fighter’s motorcycle collided with a 17-year-old girl, resulting in serious injuries. Even though Ngannou immediately rushed to the Yaoundé General Hospital, covering all of the young lady’s medical expenses, it was too late for the medical experts to save her life. The girl ultimately succumbed to her injuries and met her fatal end. While the fighter maintained a low profile across the social media platforms, he opened up recently in an interview with TMZ Sports.

The fighter confirmed his involvement in the tragic incident while sharing his heartfelt condolences with the victim’s family, “From the very beginning, I have been by the family’s side, offering support, comfort, and deepest condolences during this time” He continued, “ “I’ve met with them… to share in their grief, and I will continue to stand with them every step of the way. I carry their pain with me,”

The injuries were mostly inflicted upon the arms and legs of the victim. While the fighter tried his best to assist the family during these tough times, he couldn’t shake off the public outcry over the girl’s demise. The victim’s family has not released any statement as of yet. The young girl was named Ntsama Brigitte Manuella . Netizens across different social media platforms have started campaigns for appropriate justice to be delivered.
