Connor McDavid gets brutally trolled by fans due to his “superstition” after the Oilers lost Game 3 against the Knights
Before Game 3 against the Vegas Golden Knights, the NHL took to its account on X to post a superstition followed by Connor McDavid. The post showed the Edmonton Oilers’ captain in a blue and grey coloured suit as he looked stressed.
The post read as, “Connor McDavid's worn the same suit since Game 3 of the First Round, and he's wearing it again tonight...The Oilers are 6-0 so far when he wears it. 👀 #StanleyCup”
While this post was made before Game 3 against the Knights when the Oilers were enjoying a winning streak, now, Connor McDavid is getting brutally mocked by fans.
A fan commented, “Take a shower, you lost”, while another fan wrote, “so can he take it off”.
Many fans have also commented on how “stressed” Connor McDavid looked in the recent photo. A fan commented, “Looks like he just came back from a deployment in the desert, at least now he can have a bucket of water and a new suit 😂”
Another fan wrote, “He looks like he’s worked a desk job for 30 years and has smoked 3 packs of a cig a day for those 30 years”
A third fan posted, “He looks homeless”, while another user wrote, “He looks… disheveled? Sunken look on his face. Legitimately, is he okay?”
While Connor McDavid has not commented on the loss at Game 3, he had spoken after they won at Game 2 and said, “The group’s obviously feeling confident, but I feel like our best is still coming. We’re just building and building our game. I feel like our best is still coming and I hope to see it at home here.”
