Amid the dramatic legal developments and the course of the lawsuit Justin Baldoni filed against his ‘It Ends With Us” co-star, Blake Lively, the global icon Taylor Swift has been given a word of relief. The legal dispute caught Hollywood off guard when it claimed that a respectable Hollywood couple had ruined Baldoni's career by bringing him up in a sexual misconduct case. Baldoni has accused Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of defaming him. It is a relief that Baldoni's legal team has recently decided to withdraw the subpoena for Swift as the tension builds along the headline-grabbing case.
Taylor Swift no longer subpoenaed by Justin Baldoni’s legal team
The internet is buzzing over the recent notable development in one of Hollywood's most controversial cases. On May 22, a spokesperson for Lively confirmed the news of Baldoni dropping the document subpoena against Swift. Additionally, responding to the back-and-forth questions from the media, Lively's spokesperson made fun of Baldoni's legal team for constantly using Swift's name to "distract" people from knowing the true problem.
Furthermore, the spokesperson for Lively added, "The Baldoni and Wayfarer team have tried to put Taylor Swift, a woman who has been an inspiration for tens of millions across the globe, at the center of this case since day one," Lively's rep claimed. "Exploiting Taylor Swift’s celebrity was the original plan in Melissa Nathan’s scenario planning document, and it continues to this day. Faced with having to justify themselves in federal court, they folded. At some point, they will run out of distractions from the actual claims of sexual harassment and retaliation they are facing."
As the statement came to an end, "We supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel, and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process,” added the spokesperson.
There has been no word from Baldoni’s end about the recent withdrawal of the subpoena issued against the “Blank Space” singer. With the trial scheduled to begin in March 2026, the celebrity entanglements seem to be getting deeper each day. Stay tuned for the latest NFL updates.
